The Great Wall of Judy
Judy, the pool lady, wanted to build a wall. She wanted my help. The wall is about 80 feet long and about 2 feet high. It's more cost-friendly than the other walls I have been building because it's made out of fake rock. You essentially build a cinderblock wall and then mortar fake rock to it. It is unique because although the shortest distance between two points in a straight line, Judy wanted to make it curvey.
Judy and I dug the trench for this wall when it was 107 degrees outside.
Everything seems pretty easy after that.
The trench!
After a lot of time handling the mixer, Judy insists that mortar tastes
better than concrete.
The foundation is in.
The Great Wall of Judy is still under construction. The fake rock is
still getting mortared on and Judy is in search of a quality
capstone to cover the top of the wall and the bench area that we
have created. More pics of this project to come when Judy's
bowling league ends and she has more time to devote to wall
construction again.
